Our team has very extensive knowledge and experience in various sectors of both the landscape and construction industry; including design, installation, cleaning and maintenance.

Job Description:

 

  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Construct foundations for machinery
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Supervise other workers
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work procedures
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation)
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation
  • Set-up and repair of machinery Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Construct foundations for machinery or direct other workers to construct foundations
  • Be able to weld to repair defective parts

 

Requirements:

 

-Education: A post-secondary certificate, diploma, or equivalent training in a related field is required.
-Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience. Relevant industry certifications, licenses, safety tickets, and other job-specific qualifications are considered essential where applicable but do not replace the minimum work experience requirement.

-The ability to weld is required.

-Driver’s license is an asset

Salary: $36.92 hourly, 42.5 - 44 Hours per week

Important Information: The employee will work Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The schedule includes 30 minutes of unpaid lunch break and 30 minutes of paid healthy breaks. Flexibility on schedule is required. Shifts may vary according to the business’ needs. Occasional overtime will be required.
