Job duties of Window Installers include:
- Measure and mark window openings to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Remove existing windows, frames, and related components as required.
- Prepare window openings by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces as necessary.
- Install and secure windows, frames, sashes, and related components according to specifications.
- Apply insulation, flashing, sealants, caulking, and weatherproofing materials around window openings.
- Check windows for proper alignment, level, operation, and fit.
- Install and adjust hardware, including locks, handles, hinges, and other window components.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, assemble, modify, and install window components.
- Repair, replace, or adjust damaged or improperly installed window components.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Load, transport, handle, and secure windows, glass, frames, and installation materials at job sites.
Language of work: English
Required education: High school or equivalent
Required work experience: At least 2 years of experience in the occupation
